FAQ: How to use the BC Weatherman
The BC Weatherman is a compact external sensor that measures temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. Integrating these insights into the BConnect platform makes it simple to monitor environmental factors that may affect your adhesion process.
-
How does the BC Weatherman connect to my BConnect devices?
-
The connection between any BC Weatherman and BConnect device is fully automatic. Once the plastic strip is removed from the BC Weatherman any BConnect device within range will start providing the environmental information will all measurements.
-
-
Where can I view the environmental data from my BC Weatherman?
-
"Weather Data" will be viewable on the BConnnect platform with all of your other Measurement, Experiment, and Process Monitor results.
-
-
What Environmental data does the BC Weatherman provide?
-
Temperature (°C)
- Typical accuracy ±0,1 °C @ 5-60 °C (±0.36 °F @ 41-140 °F)
- Humidity (RH-%)
- Typical accuracy ±2 RH-% @ 20…80 %. Range: 0-95 %
- Barometric pressure (hPa)
- Typical accuracy ±1 hPa. Range: 500-1155 hPa
-
-
How close does the BC Weatherman have to be to my device?
-
Within 50 feet (15 meters) for most applications.
-
-
Can Multiple BConnect devices connect to a single BC Weatherman?
-
Yes. There is no limit to the number of BConnect devices that can access the BC Weatherman's data.
-
-
What will happen if my device is within range of multiple BC Weatherman?
-
All BConnect devices will only gather data from a single BC Weatherman that has the strongest signal, which will usually be the one closest to the device.
-
-
When will I have to replace the battery?
- Estimated battery life is 12 to 24 months
- Replace with CR2477T battery
- Estimated battery life is 12 to 24 months
